"Embodied Awakening:

Enhancing Health, Happiness, and Ecstatic Presence"

Friday Performance 11/01, Sat/Sun Workshop 11/02 - 11/03 : Yoga Kula - Berkeley, CA

Presenter(s): Risa Kaparo, PhD & David Ellzey (davidellzey.com)

Workshop Description:

This two-day workshop will gently yet powerfully reveal the pure integration of body and spirit. You’ll learn how to live in a way that is deeply healing, nourishing, and renewing on all levels of existence.  Through somatic meditation, luscious and awakened movement, self-inquiry, and deep laughter, you’ll directly experience the final source of your health and happiness. Through archetypal exploration and the idea of your individual life as a mythic journey, you’ll awaken to a sense of your own life as the infinite cosmos unfolding in every waking moment.

Luscious Movement:  These luscious movements will awaken you to the richness of your silent experience. You will no longer settle for less than tasting the deliciousness of being wholly embodied and giving full expression to the flow of feeling and presence.

Storytelling and Archetypes: Engaging Archetypal stories to remythologize your personal story can help fine-tune how you successfully navigate your daily life journey in a way that is powerful and deeply nourishing.

Creative Writing: Our goal is to loosen the hold of habits in thought and to encourage play with language, thus freeing up creativity. The act of writing is one way to channel the unseen into being, contributing to more expressive movement, performance art, self-exploration and renewal.

Self-Inquiry: Investigating beneath our normally accepted and often unconscious perceptions of life can uncover an unshakeable sense of presence and stillness. The unknown can become known. The source behind all appearance, our true essence, can finally be embodied and experienced in all realms of our being.
